One Step Beyond Martial Arts Training Center
Welcome to One Step Beyond Martial Art Center located in Hyde Park. We offer martial arts classes for all ages. Our school was founded in 1982 and is still going strong with student and instructors training and competing at an international level.
Our school principles are respect, self-discipline, honesty, safety, confidence and focus. Our goal is to have our students succeed both in martial arts and academically.

MEET OUR STAFF
Marie is originally from Sweden, and holds a BA in physical education. She also has several certifications in personal training, group fitness training and strength and conditioning. Marie has been training martial arts since 2015 and hold a rank of 1st degree black belt in the TAMA system of self-defense and American Combat Karate. She got pulled into martial arts by her 3 children who all train and compete at different levels.

Owner, Sensei and Personal Trainer
Erin has trained karate since 2012.
She holds a rank of 2nd degree black belt in the TAMA system of self-defense and American Combat Karate. Erin has competed in karate tournaments since 2015, winning state, regional, and national titles in open hand kata, weapons kata, and fighting. She began competing at the international level in 2017 representing Team USA at World Championships for the WAKO, WKU, and WKC circuits.
