Class Requirements

Attendance

Student must attend a minimum of 40 classes AND 20 weeks to be eligible for Advance Green belt testing

Student Qualities

Student must show an excellent attitude and always demonstrate a willingness to learn. In addition, student is required to strive to uphold the standards of honesty, modesty, courtesy, integrity, respect, perseverance, courage, and indomitable spirit.

Past Requirements

Students must be able to demonstrate all kicking and hand techniques, stances, combinations, self defense concepts and principles, and answer all questions from all previous belt requirements.

Kicks

  • Blitz

Shoulder Rolls

  • Front roll over four shields

Combinations

Jab, reverse punch with back leg round house kick into iron broom
Blitz with axe kick
Hurricane kick into step up side kick

Bag Work

Demonstrate continuous combinations for 5 – two minute rounds on
the stand alone heavy bag with a 30 second break between rounds.
25 push ups during the break.

SELF DEFENSE CONCEPTS AND PRINCIPLES

Take Downs

Student must be able to properly demonstrate single leg takedown, double leg takedown, a takedown from behind and a hip roll against an opponent’s attack and execute the following:

  • counter with hands
  • counter with kicks and hands
  • counter and finish with ju jitsu

Choke Escape #3

Demonstrate how to properly execute a side step with right foot while performing a reverse wrist lock with your right hand and turn it into a escort hold.

Ju Jitsu

Student should understand how to apply the ju jitsu concepts of wrist lock, arm bar, arm drag, and reverse wrist lock with countering for the past self defense concepts and principles that have been learned.

Right front kick re-chamber and sidekick to right side, land in ready stance

Step left and knife hand(left) with right reverse punch(rt)
Right leg front kick, land forward into left back practice stance

Look to your back, roll back on right knee and rising block(lft)
Vertical punch(rt) to groin, come up with uppercut(rt) and hook punch(lft)

Sidekick(rt) to front and shuffle step forward with ridge hand(rt)
